Richard Lewis, Founder, Lewis Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners started his business in 1985 out of his home using a small portable machine. Today, Lewis successfully operates and manages an office/warehouse of six employees and has five working vans with future plans for expansion and growth. Lewis moved his business from San Mateo to Redwood City in 1995. The Lewis family works, lives and resides in Redwood City and have truly made this town their home. Lewis has built his company on a foundation of integrity, loyalty and communication. As part of his philosophy in building company culture, Lewis truly believes to be successful you must dedicate time, efforts, energy and services to your community. At Lewis Cleaners we are grateful to have the opportunity to not only provide excellent cleaning experiences to our clients, but we also enjoy spending extra time being active participants in our community. It humbles us to know we can make a difference in and around our community and enjoy participating in many associations from fund-raisers to food drives. Lewis Cleaners joined the Redwood City, San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce in 1995. As members, Mr. Lewis and his staff have participated in the annual membership campaign and have been active on other committees and events. Last years efforts were a complete success! We collected canned food for the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, and had so many donations that our barrel was overflowing! We also collected toys for the families that lived in the Shelter Networks Haven Family House, and had such a positive outpour of donations for the families. Our team at Lewis Cleaners personally wrapped and passed out the gifts to all the families & children.
